The future of TOS on Etsy

Well friends, something has come to my attention and I think we need to talk about it.  It is a big elephant in the e-commerce room, and that elephant is ETSY.

As many of you know I have been on Etsy since 2013, and that is literally how my business started.  I glued some pictures on some wood and a tiles and put it on Etsy to see if they would sell...and they did!  I have been an artist on Etsy for many years and it has been a great platform for me, and it has really grown my business.  Last year was my biggest year yet on Etsy, and it really helped my business grow.  I love Etsy....or should I say I LOVED Etsy.

With that being said, lately Etsy has been changing, and I unfortunately don't think it is going in a good direction.  Etsy went public, I bought stocks hoping it would make me more money (my husband then sold them, I am still mad at him) but anyways, I was hopeful... until now.

Etsy has been making many changes on the platform, bullying artists into making changes to their shops, and now they are shutting shops down out of nowhere for no reason and taking people's business away from them.  I personally think Etsy is drinking a little too much of the wall street kool aid, and needs to slow down.

So I am writing to you today to let you know that I am not going to be putting much more energy into my Etsy shop.  I am going to be directing all the traffic to my personal website where I have control, and don't have the fear of Etsy shutting me down for no reason.  I am not going to close my Etsy shop, I am just not going to make it a priority for my business.

I just wanted to give you the heads up, in case you notice some of my products that I am promoting on social media are not on my Etsy shop, this is the explanation.  I will be releasing my holiday products soon on my website, and I can't wait to show you all the new products!

So please keep following along in my journey on social media and let's enjoy the rest of our summer!
